About Lora
Lora Cecca Lyons, MA, CSC
Lora is a personal and professional leadership coach specializing in
Somatics, a linguistic and body-oriented methodology that helps us
determine how you want to build your future and what competencies are
needed in order to get you there.

Lora coaches one-on-one with individuals in person and on the phone and
works with groups. Her work is drawn from a variety of discourses, including
Communications Theory, Kenpo Karate, and Ontological and Somatic
Coaching. This blend enables clients to become astute self observers
providing opportunities to see breakdowns and many opportunities for new
thinking and action.

Lora holds a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and a master’s degree in
Communications Management, in which she presented her thesis, “Saying
What You Mean: The path to leadership through language and emotional
intelligence” and is certified as a somatic coach by Strozzi Institute, the
premier training institute for Embodied Leadership. She has also received
rigorous training and mentoring from Jennifer Cohen, master somatic coach
and founder of
Meaningful Leadership. Lora is a fourth-degree black belt in
Kenpo, a self defense style of Martial Arts. She started practicing Kenpo in
1995 and has been coaching and training adults and children since 1999.

Lora is the founder and president of Lyons Leadership Coaching,
collaborates with Dr. Matt Budd (author of “You Are What You Say”) on his
Healing Retreats for Women with Cancer
(www.FHollandDayCenter.org) and is
the author and leader of an ongoing women’s embodied leadership course
and of several workshops and seminars on leadership and self-mastery.

Additionally, Lora runs a martial arts program in Franklin, Massachusetts
along with her teacher, Master James Bryant of Masters Self Defense
